“Audi Exclusive” Premieres Oct 12, 2007, 09:44 |
For the first time in Australia, Audi will showcase its ‘Audi Exclusive’ bespoke vehicle range at the 2007 show.
Both an Audi A8 and TT Coupe have been personalised from the “Audi Exclusive” options range, and will highlight the German luxury brand’s topmost range of customised options.
“Audi Exclusive” is a bespoke program that allows Audi customers the possibility of personally designing their own individual vehicle. They can choose from pre-configured interior upholstery packages – the Audi Exclusive line – or from the extensive Audi Exclusive customisation program.
In addition to the personalised A8 and TT Coupe, special samples from the “Audi Exclusive” range will be exhibited at the show for Audi customers to experience first hand.
The range enables customers to choose from 12 different leather colours, available in two leather grades. All leather packages come with a choice of colours for the seam stitching. In addition, the inlays on the instrument panel, centre console and doors can be given an individual touch with fine woods. Every wood element is sanded by hand, then stained, varnished and polished – a process almost as intricate as crafting a violin.
For the bodywork, customers can select special paint finishes in virtually any colour, provided the paint can be formulated on a water-soluble basis to ensure that it is environmentally compatible. Customised paint finishes and tinted windows can also be ordered for the exterior.
In conjunction with the customised body colours, the Audi Exclusive range of alloy wheels provides an extra touch of individuality for the car's external appearance.
Office packages are also available and these are designed to make the car an extension of the office. Packages include an ergonomic folding desktop, additional lighting, telecommunications technology, a fridge and a DVD player.
