What is the Novice Driver Kit?
The Kit is comprised of two components:
- Road to Solo Driving handbook, and
- Getting There From Ls to Ps handbook.
Road to Solo Driving features:
- critical road safety and road law information to prepare new drivers for safe and independent driving
- a step by step guide to obtaining a learner permit or licence
- a driving log for the novice driver and supervisor to monitor driving progress, and colour coded pages for easy referencing.

Getting There From Ls to Ps provides:- practical information to guide novice drivers and their supervisors through the learning process, and
- a plan for acquiring safe driving skills over a sustained period of time including advice on how to make the most of practice sessions
The Kit is sold in a clear plastic wallet, which can easily be stored in a car's glove box. The wallet contains Road to Solo Driving together with a brochure outlining details of Getting There From Ls to Ps and relevant licensing fees. Getting There from Ls to Ps is given to applicants on the successful completion of their learner permit test, as they prepare for learning to drive.
