Feb 28, 2006, 09:59

‘Double-X’ Super Blackbird, CBR1100XX
The 2006 model of the always astounding ‘Double-X’ Super Blackbird, CBR1100XX, is now available in two stunning colours including Iron Nail Silver Metallic and Darkness Black Metallic.

The Blackbird’s compact, aerodynamic form envelops a powerful, fuel-injected 1,100cc inline-4 engine that delivers explosive rushes of acceleration tempered with silky smooth operation at all speeds.

Its lightweight and highly rigid twin-spar aluminium frame provides a robust mount for compliant, sure-handling suspension and responsive Dual Combined Brakes, all of which contribute to its renowned balance of sports touring control.

The Blackbird’s refined lines are timeless in concept. Its sleekly styled bodywork maximises potential for long-term sports touring comfort and impeccably smooth high-speed runs across the landscape.

Remarkably compact and light of handling, the Blackbird is one of the easiest litre bikes there is to enjoy to the full, whether making blistering charges or taking leisurely two-up tours to distant places.

Features include:

  • Automatic Bypass Starter for assured starting ease in all weather conditions;
  • Windscreen designed for ultimate protection against the wind; Bright, high-visibility multi-reflector indicators;
  • Air Injection System that offers more complete and efficient combustion and effectively reduces much of the engine’s exhaust emissions;
  • A single oxygen sensor along with several other critical variables of engine operation ensures precise fuel control and optimal effectiveness of the system’s inline catalysers;
  • A detailed design of the silencers minimises any restrictions to top performance contributing to a maximum power output of 112Kw.

The CBR1100XX retails for $18,790 plus on road costs. For more information, visit www.hondamotorcycles.com.au
